Excellent product, but nothing new.

This game is excellent, though it was originally released back around 2004. Having been the owner of the original SimCity 4 with the expansion pack for PC, I find that this version is nothing new besides the soundtracks. In addition, the game lags on the new MacBook Pro with Retina display (15.4’’) - since they still have not optimizied the game for multiple cores.

Apart from all this, there are still all the wonderful gameplay elements that have been craved in a city building game. Unlike SimCity 5 you can have large cities, but the graphics are rather poor for this age.

In conclusion, for $10 it’s a good buy but it’s outdated and needs an update.
